After a challenging year full of political and financial change I was appointed as the full time PE Sport Strategy Manager in June 2011. Previously my role was as Partnership Development Manager with the School Sport Partnership (SSP). I have now worked in the SSP for 8 years! I am looking forward to the challenge of this new role and am very excited about how the SSP can impact young people's involvement in opportunities associated with the London 2012 Games over the coming year.
I was appointed as PDM in April 2009. I previously taught PE for 8 years at Westergate Community School. I was the Westergate SSCo since the creation of our partnership in 2003. In addition I took on the role of Assistant PDM in 2008. I came to the area in 1996 to study Sports Science at Chichester University after growing up in Somerset. Since completing my PGCE at Chichester University in 2000 I have worked and lived in the area. I love a variety of sports; surfing, skiing, swimming. I also play Netball locally in the Worthing District Netball League and am passionate about ensuring our young people can enjoy community participation as I have.
