My current role is The School Games Organiser. This entails providing competition for the WSW SSP at Level 1-4 ( Intra competition through to national). I am also the The Regis School Sport Co-Ordinator. My background is as follows:
I was appointed in 2009 as the Community Sports Co-ordinator of the SSP. My title was slightly different to the other SSco's as I also ran Community projects. I worked full time at The Regis School in a dual role working with the Sports College and as the SSCo for The Regis School family. My additional responsibilities in the SSP included liaising with local clubs to create strong links and also raising the profile of the SSP in local and national media.
Previously I was working in the learning support department. I have also worked with the SSP as a self defence coach in the past, rotating around the mainstream secondary schools. I am an Aikido specialist which is a japanese self defence martial art. I was the youngest Aikido black belt in the south of England at 14. I shortly after began coaching. This led to my role of working with young people in sport.
