This is a school games event- Free to all Schools.

This gymnastics competition is for NOVICE gymnasts in Yr 5/6 who are taking part in less than an hour per week at a registered British Gymnastics Club and have not been a club member in the last 2 years

The winning school team will go onto represent the West Sussex West SSP at the Sussex School Games final. Schools entering this competition must also be registered for the School Games in order to qualify. Please go to www.yourschoolgames.com to register.

Teams are to be comprised of a minimum of 6 maximum of 8. The highest scoring 6 will score. Teams can be the same sex or mixed.  To encourage the inclusion of boys in the team there will be a 0.5 points bonus added to the overall team score for each boy included, to a maximum of 1.0 point. 

The highest scoring 6 gymnasts from each team in each of the three disciplines (Floor, Body Management and Vault) will count towards the overall team total.

Please use the attached routine cards to prepare your students for the competition.  Please be aware there are optional variations in the floor exercise for Yr 5&6.
